A resilient Ethiopian landrace, cultivated organically under shade above 2,350 metres — the foundation of everything Bursa produces.

The 74158 variety is the foundation of Bursa Specialty Coffee’s production. This resilient Ethiopian landrace thrives at elevations above 2,350 metres, where many other varieties struggle. Originally distributed to farmers for its strong disease resistance and exceptional cup potential, 74158 produces compact, dense beans with remarkable sweetness and complex aromatics.

At Bursa this variety is cultivated organically under natural shade on rich volcanic soils. Smallholder farmers carefully hand-pick cherries at peak ripeness and process them with precision to preserve quality.
